The PATH front office volunteers are the first point of contact for someone who has just come off the street. Volunteers help members get registered with the center and access the many resources that may be available to them both within and outside of PATH. The front office volunteer assists the staff in ensuring that all members are taken care of and make sure that the day to day operation of the center goes smoothly. Shifts tend to be 2-4 hours at a time and include answering the phone to give out correct information on what PATH does for the community, and working with case management staff and lobby staff to support residents with small life skill tasks. Monday through Friday, 8:00am-noon morning shift, and noon-4:00pm for the afternoon shift. Evening and weekend shifts are also needed at our lobby desk. PATH Santa Barbara is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Offering a wide array of services for the homeless, with an emphasis on both emotional and physical health, 12 different program partners collaborate to bring recovery to the homeless -- all under one roof.
Description
PATH Santa Barbara offers day services for anyone in need, which includes access to hot meals, showers, medical care, drug and alcohol counseling, employment development, and housing assistance. We offer a transitional living facility that has 70 beds as well as 30 medical respite beds for the more fragile and vulnerable.
