Here is the breakdown for the Senior Kit Program (CSFP) team building activity:

FOOD Share was selected out of 18 applying counties to run the senior program called Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP). This program works to improve the health of qualifying low income elderly persons 60 years of age and older. A box of 16 high quality food items will be packed at FOOD Share’s warehouse and distributed to 3,500 seniors a month. This is a federally funded program run by the state and is part of the Farm Bill. We pack for senior food once our inventory gets low. When that happens we switch our food sorting groups to packing of senior food boxes. Here is information regarding this fun activity:

2 volunteers to assemble boxes

8 volunteers (one per product) to pack into boxes

1 volunteer to cart over packed box onto metal conveyor belt

2 volunteer to weigh, tape, and palletize boxes

2 volunteer to breakdown boxes/go where needed
