Volunteers are needed to help adult English learners practice their conversation skills. ESL Conversation partners will work with small groups of adult ESL students. Volunteers will spend about an hour a week helping students practice speaking English. We provide all training and materials. You provide a friendly face and a willingness to improve someone's life. This opportunity takes place on Wednesday evenings. Here's what other tutors have to say about volunteering with the English School: "Everyone benefits from the interaction, the tutor and the students. It's fun and the students seem terrifically appreciative. "I always feel good about the session. I'm impressed by how hard the students work. Many come straight from their jobs, arrive early, and seem eager to come back. Sometimes I think that I get more out of the sessions than the students do." "everyone was so friendly and the program was run smoothly. tutoring sessions were started on time and ended on time. I thought the program was very organized by people who cheerfully volunteered their time to sincerely care. great job everyone!!"
