Mission Statement

The English School provides low-cost, high quality English language instruction to non-native English Speakers.

Description

The English School offers ESL instruction to adults. We do this through traditional English classes, individual and small group tutoring, computer assisted classes, and informal social events. The English School serves between 80 and 100 students each semester. Our students predominantly come from Eastern Europe and South and Central America.

There are few greater opportunities than empowering others. The feeling of fulfillment and satisfaction is palpable as you help others navigate the unfamiliar waters of American life and culture. I have served here at The English School since 2009 and am currently Managing Director. I am looking for empathetic individuals willing to give of their time and talents in order to make integration and assimilation easier for our adult immigrant population in Mercer County and its environs. I also love learning about their cultures, languages, attitudes, and traditions while teaching them about English and life in America. Please give us a shot if you enjoy empowering others through language, culture, and education!
