Since ancient times, it has been a compassionate practice to be present for another through the dying experience. This principle continues as the basic foundation of how we embrace the end-of-life. The Vigil Volunteer provides support and guidance at the bedside of the hospice patient, providing an invaluable gift to one who may have otherwise died alone. Our Vigil Volunteers may share music, prayer or simply their presence through this time.
Orientation and on-going training provided! Background and reference check required.
