About AmeriCares
AmeriCares is a nonprofit international relief organization that delivers medicines, medical supplies and aid to people in crisis around the world and across America. In a quarter of a century, we have delivered more than $9 billion of aid to 137 countries.
Volunteer assignment
Our Communications Department is responsible for all of AmeriCares internal and external communications, PR, Marketing /Branding, e-Communications and Multi-Media initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to newsletters, annual appeal brochures, website content, e-newsletters, donor collateral, marketing collateral, videos, photography, press releases, speech writing, and op-ed pieces.
We are currently seeking a volunteer who can support our Multi-media Manager with some of our multi-media work. Primarily this person would assist in the archiving and cataloging of AmeriCares digital photographs. In addition, when needed they may also assist in some editing tasks and assist in the creation of some presentations.
Volunteer Hours
This volunteer opportunity begins immediately and will last approximately 2-3 months. Ideally we would like someone who is available for a minimum of 8-10/hours per week.

Americares Free Clinics are at the heart of a caring community, bringing together skilled volunteers and donated services to our neighbors in need. We partner with local hospitals and Quest Diagnostics for donated lab and diagnostic testing. We also work with a network of volunteer physicians, nurses, EMTs, and interpreters who donate their time. Since 1994, our clinics in Norwalk, Danbury, Bridgeport, and Stamford have provided health care valued at $141 million to more than 28,000 patients.
