Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: The Salvation Army - San Jose, CA

Help distribute Holiday Food Boxes to disadvantaged families. You will distribute food boxes, bread, and a frozen turkey or chicken in the assembly line team method. Event will be outside in parking lot, if it rains, it will be moved.

After parents select toy/gifts at The Salvation Army Toy 'N Joy Store, they will stop at the food distribution area where they will receive their holiday food box for Christmas dinner and food that lasts a few weeks beyond.

Dress in layers, you'll be cold and get warmer with time; if you have warm gloves bring them it will help make it easier to handle the food and frozen meat.
