A Child's Place CASA, Ltd.'s mission is to develop volunteers who will stand up for abused and neglected children in court, helping to expedite their placement into safe, permanent, nurturing homes. Victims of child abuse and neglect need a voice in civil court matters. Child victims between the ages of birth to eighteen are a particularly vulnerable population within our community. "To give a child a CASA is to give them a voice and to give them a voice is to give them hope and to give them the hope is to give them the world and I believe that with all my heart. The mission statement of A Child's Place CASA, Ltd., as taken from the organization's by-laws, is a nonprofit organization, that speaks for the best interests of abused and neglected children within the court system. In order to promote and provide each child with a safe, permanent, and nurturing home, CASA recruits, screens, trains, and supports volunteer citizens to perform this important advocacy for needy children in collaboration with essential agencies, legal counsel, and community resources.

A Child's Place CASA, Ltd. serves Brooke, Hancock & Jefferson Counties. The organization recruits, screens, trains, and supports community citizens who choose to give back to their community by working for the best interests of the abused and neglected children of our community.
