Job Descriptions:
Stocking-Lift and carry boxes of food from the warehouse to the food bank. Stock the shelves in the food bank. A dolly is available to help with the boxes. Help sort donations and put them away. Shifts are in the mornings once a week.
Substitute Clerks-Help families with their food orders. Shifts are in the afternoons once a week. Substitutes are needed to be called upon when regular volunteers are unavailable.

The mission of The Volunteer Center is to match individuals willing to serve with non-profit and governmental organizations in need of help for the benefit the community. Our goal is to be the first place people think of when they want to be of service and the first place non-profit and governmental groups think of when they need dependable volunteer help. As a result we extend the human capacity of area non-profit and governmental agencies by recruiting volunteers to fill a wide variety of volunteer positions in the community.
Description
The Volunteer Center recruits, refers and supports volunteers for the betterment of the community. The Center is home of the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), the Volunteer Action Corps (VAC), Friends in Action and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program in Reno County, Kansas.
