Receptionists work with families and visitors to ensure that their needs are met. Volunteers will also help support the administrative staff by assisting with office work and various computer-based projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist guests
- Check families in and out
- Answer phones
- Complete data entry and other projects on Raiser’s Edge
- Other projects and light office work as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Willingness to learn
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal skills - with staff, families, other volunteers, and donors
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs as they arise
*All other necessary training will be provided!

We, in partnership with our community, provide a comfortable and caring home-away-from-home that supports keeping families together and reduces stress during a child’s serious illness.
Description
We provide a warm and welcoming community of support and respite for families with seriously-ill or injured children. Across our five locations, we welcome 76 families each night for overnight services, as well as hundreds of day-visitors. Services include:
- Lodging
- Meals
- Kitchen access and fully-stocked pantries
- Laundry facilities
- An accredited K-12 school
- Workout facilities
- Supportive, family-focused programming
We take care of all these things so families can focus on the well-being of their child.
