We, in partnership with our community, provide a comfortable and caring home-away-from-home that supports keeping families together and reduces stress during a child’s serious illness.
Minneapolis/St. Paul provides a number of the world's most advanced medical treatment centers for pediatric critical care. Families travel to the Twin Cities from across Minnesota, the United States, and the world for their children to receive highly specialized care at our area hospitals. The Ronald McDonald House of the Twin Cities accommodates 48 families on any given night, providing lodging and a community atmosphere of care, support and encouragement while reducing the costs of daily living.
Since our founding, we have provided a caring community for more than 13,000 total families from across Minnesota, the United States and around the world.
Today, we are known as Ronald McDonald House Charities, Upper Midwest (RMHC-UM) and we serve families through our three core programs:
- Ronald McDonald House-Oak Street, our original, cornerstone program.
- Our Ronald McDonald House - Children’s, Minneapolis, located inside Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis, opened in November 2010.
- Our Ronald McDonald Family Room - Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare in St. Paul, opened in July 2011.
In more ways than ever, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Upper Midwest supports families, helping them stay together when they need it most.
