The Arts & Business Council of Chicago's Business Volunteers for the Arts (BVA) program trains and places experienced business professionals on pro-bono consulting projects for small to mid-sized non-profit arts & cultural organizations.
On a project by project basis, volunteers work alongside community arts organizations to facilitate retreats, develop marketing and strategic plans, assess systemic needs and budgets, and more. Business Volunteers for the Arts also provides an excellent opportunity for networking and offers an environment conducive to building camaraderie among business professionals, as well as creative collaborations with artist, actors, dancers, and those who simply love the arts!
Now accepting applications for the Summer Class of 2019! Orientation takes place on Saturday, July 27, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Description
Arts & Business Council of Chicago (A&BC) is an Arts Service Organization which enhances organizational resiliency through capacity building. Capacity building is an intentional effort to improve an organization's effectiveness and sustainability, resulting in the organization successfully executing its mission.
Since 1985 A&BC has engaged with over 600 unique arts and culture organizations, enhancing their organizational resiliency through sequenced capacity building (known as our "continuum of care"), using tools including assessment, direct consulting, educational, and networking programs that strengthen management, administrative and organizational systems.
A&BC serves all arts and cultural producers, by working with administrative and artistic leaders, staff, and volunteers from Chicago’s creative community from a range of budget sizes and longevity, no matter their artistic discipline. We primarily serve emerging to mid-sized organizations with operating budgets under $1.5M.
