To develop leadership, the business of arts, and the art of business in Chicago.
The Arts & Business Council of Chicago’s mission is to strengthen arts, cultural, & creative organizations.
We do this by building working relationships between creative organizations & enterprises and skilled Chicagoans, providing training in all aspects of management and board function, and highlighting research in leading and emerging issues related to the world of arts management.
With a focus on services and programs that have been refined and developed over its 36-year history, A&BC serves arts enterprises of all sizes -emerging, small, and mid-sized in many phases of development, other participants in the creative economy, skilled volunteers interested in giving back to their communities, and by extension audiences, participants, and patrons of the arts.
In 2020, A&BC adapted educational programs, trainings, and pro bono consulting to virtual, providing over 1,500 hours of pro bono consulting valued at nearly $230,000.
