TALMAR Gardens & Horticultural Center, a nonprofit that benefits individuals with disabilites, is looking for volunteers on Saturdays, anywhere from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. We will need help cutting flowers, pulling weeds and doing some general garden maintenance. ​TALMAR is dedicated to enhancing health for people of all ages and abilities through horticulture and agriculture.
Description
TALMAR provides vocational and horticultural therapy programming to youth and adults of all abilities. We also train military veterans in sustainable agriculture through a partnership with the Veteran Administration. Our farm provides services to individuals and groups throughout the season. We are a working vegetable and cut flower farm in Parkville MD.
