Project Linus is a non-profit volunteer organization with a two-fold mission.
* First, it is our mission to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer "blanketeers."
* Second, it is our mission to provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in local communities, for the benefit of children.
We are seeking volunteers to make blankets, assist with label work days, pick up blankets from partner locations, and drop off blankets to our recipient organizations.
Blankets may be quilted, fleece, crocheted or knitted. Additional guidelines may be found on our website.
A special "Kids Helping Kids" program is available for scout troops, youth groups and classroom projects.
Event calendar with label days and all contact information is available at our website:
You have the flexibility to make blankets at your home, on your time. We do not provide supplies. We are representing the Columbus OH chapter. If you are not in our immediate area, check for a chapter near you at www.projectlinus.org.
