- be compassionate, good listeners and dedicated to their volunteer experience
- Volunteers do not have to have any horse experience.
Classes take place in the evenings (Monday - Thursday and Saturday mornings) during five sessions ; spring, summer I, summer II, fall, and winter. Volunteers are asked to work at least one evening/day during a session. Volunteers are asked to work at least one session a year.
Side Helpers are teamed with the same student for the duration of the 8 week session and are an integral part of that student's success. Regular attendance is critical.
CRITICAL NEED FOR DAYTIME VOLUNTEERS: TRI teams up with local organizations and schools to provide field trips and regular programming between the hours of 10am - 4pm. Volunteer commitments for daytime programming could be 1x a month or 1x a week.
We are currently looking for volunteers to help in our summer classes in the evenings and weekends. Get trained to be eligible to volunteer in Session 5 starting this November. Once you are trained, you are able to jump in at any time.
All volunteers must attend a New Volunteer Orientation. Our next training will be on Tuesday, November 13th from 5:45-8pm. RSVPs required to Sam at SLape@triohio.org.
