Mission Statement

To improve the lives and health of children and adults in Southwest Ohio with special physical, cognitive, social, and psychological needs through Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies (EAAT).

Description

TRI offers over 250 horseback riding lessons each year to youth and adults with special abilities. With 3 full time staff, 6 horses, 6 PATH Certiified Instructors and over 300 volunteers, our students benefit from a program that focuses solely on therapeutic horseback riding. Since being founded in 1973, our mission has gone unchanged. TRI is a PATH Premier Accredited Therapeutic Riding Center - one of only 275 in the nation.

Would you recommend Therapeutic Riding Institute?

I volunteered with the Northern Virginia Therapeutic Riding Program for nearly 3 years and was amazed at the results I saw with the children I met. My niece (autistic) has made much progress in only two years participating in a program near her home in Lexington, Ky.
