HAVEN, formerly known as A Safe Place and SASS, is one of the largest violence prevention and support services crisis agency in the state.

HAVEN is dedicated to addressing public health through violence prevention and improving the well-being of children and families. Preventing abuse and providing support for those impacted by domestic and sexual violence can lead to healthier and more secure children and adults. With an extensive service area, the agency relies on a team of dedicated staff and volunteers who work in all capacities to support it's mission to end violence and change lives.

Currently, HAVEN is seeking volunteers to serve as front desk support at the main office in Portsmouth at Pease International Tradeport. These volunteers will have the unique opportunity to learn more about the agency's operations while working with staff to complete various projects and tasks. Volunteers will help greet guests/walk-in's, answer incoming calls to our business line and assist staff with research or administrative tasks. The importance of having a warm friendly face available to greet clients is so vital!

HAVEN provides training to help volunteers feel prepared and comfortable with all office functions and client interactions. This position is flexible and offers 4 hour shifts (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) or (1 p.m. to 5 p.m.) on weekdays only. In addition volunteers can also serve full days Monday through Friday (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or work with their supervisor to plan a schedule that fits within their needs.
