Hospice is a philosophy of care that focuses on comfort and quality of life for patients with shortened life expectancy. You will be strategically matched with patients based on your geographic preferences and similar interests. You may see one patient or multiple patients at the same facility. Volunteering is very flexible. You accept assignments based on your availability. The time you spend volunteering each week is flexible and will be scheduled directly with patients and/or caregivers.

Description

When life expectancy is limited, AccentCare Fairview Hospice staff and volunteers help patients and caregivers focus on improving the quality of their remaining days. Hospice provides medical, emotional, social and spiritual care. We bring these services to the familiar setting of patients' own homes whenever possible. The same kind of care may also be given at a long-term care site, a group home, an assisted living site or a residential hospice.
