Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
To improve the health of the communities we serve. We commit our skills and resources to the benefit of the whole person by providing the finest in health care, while addressing the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of individuals and their families. We further pledge to support the research and education efforts of our partner; the University of Minnesota, and its tradition of excellence.
Hospice is not usually a place, but a special way of caring for people near the end of their lives. Hospice care may be provided for just a few days or for six months or longer, in the person's home--whether a private residence, nursing home or assisted living facility. Hospice care is also provided in residential hospice facilities. The philosophy of hospice care is to provide comfort care rather than curative care, and to provide comfort to the entire family--at home where patients prefer to be--surrounded by family.
