San Francisco is renowned for its opportunities in STEM, but not enough of our city’s public school students are graduating ready to access these opportunities. Succeeding in math can often be the key that opens the door to a love of STEM.

By volunteering with the San Francisco Education Fund just one hour a week, directly after school, you will help middle schoolers gain the skills and confidence they need to succeed in math. You’ll work with 6th and 7th graders in San Francisco’s public schools to set them up for success in 8th grade and beyond. This opportunity allows you to work directly with students, sharing your joy of math.

We know that volunteers have busy schedules, whether they are working, raising families, or retired. All it takes is just one hour a week during the school day or after school to make a difference. No previous experience is required, only a desire to help students reach their full potential.
