Do you love old buildings? Here is a great way to get involved with an organization dedicated to providing resources and inspiration for historic preservation. The Architectural Heritage Center is looking for volunteers to staff our lovely reception area: greet visitors, answer light phones, light retail sales, occasional office projects, answer questions about our exhibits and educational programs.
We need volunteers to work a 3-hour shift, either 10 AM-1 PM or 1-4 PM, on two or three days per month (Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays).

Mission Statement
Educating People to Preserve Our Building Heritage
Description
The Architectural Heritage Center (AHC) is committed to preserving our regional architectural inheritance. A project of the non-profit Bosco-Milligan Foundation, the AHC presents historic preservation education programs and changing exhibits of vintage building artifacts throughout the year at West's Block -- built in 1883 -- the largest "artifact" in our collection.
Programs include building rehabilitation workshops, neighborhood walking tours, and lectures on a variety of topics such as architectural styles and house history research. The collection includes stained glass windows, doors, vintage hardware, decorative plaster, light fixtures, and many other building artifacts, as well as historic building supplies catalogues and architectural reference materials.CAUSE AREAS
