Overview of Position: Assist in supporting TIHAN’s programs, primarily through administrative support, program coordination and organization.

Benefits to the Volunteer: A great opportunity to take on a high level of responsibility, provide direct support to individuals living with HIV, and help to strengthen the programs and services that TIHAN provides to CarePartners.

Specific Tasks may include:

  1. Carry out administrative tasks such as filing, copying, mailing information to CarePartners, and preparing materials and supplies for trainings and other events.
  2. Deliver flyers and other promotional materials to partner agencies.
  3. Maintaining the Link Specialist office and supplies organized.
  4. Helping prepare supplies for Poz Cafe.

Time Required : Up to four hours per week, as needed. Shifts are scheduled during TIHAN’s regular office hours of 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday. Preferred length for each shift is 2 to 4 hours.

Qualifications/Experience:

Preferred: Knowledge of local community resources. Experience working in an office setting. Experience working with people living with HIV/AIDS.

Required: Must be 18 years or older. Good computer skills, including Microsoft Publisher, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel (or ability to learn these programs quickly). Good organization skills; attention to detail; ability to work independently; and written communication skills. Comfortable interacting with people from diverse backgrounds.
