We are looking for a talented computer expert willing to share at least an hour of their time, once a week, in a multicultural setting to help parents of children that attend Rosemount or staff members to build upon and develop their computer skills.The dutuies are to teach basic computer use, Microsoft Word and Excel, Internet search, email, etc.Tutoring will take place at Rosemount Center facility at 2000 Rosemount Ave. NW in Mount Pleasant. All Rosemount Center tutors are asked to make at least a one-hour commitment once per week for a minimum of eight weeks. Consistency of the same time every week is appreciated. Description
Rosemount was established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 1972 when its chief benefactor, House of Mercy, converted its historic building and program to a comprehensive childcare and education facility for young children of primarily low income families. The Center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and is recognized as a Gold-Level center by the District of Columbia’s Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE).
