THE HEART OF TAMPA PROJECT

MOBILE FEEDING OUTREACH

EVERY SUNDAY NOON-4PM. ( Must text 813 205 0745)... for date availability.

We meet at the first stop as if Sept 30, 2018 is 4800 E 19th Avenue in Tampa.
Everyone who has called our volunteer coordinator and has chosen a weekend to help is asked to bring a pre cooked food item that is ready to serve. It can be a dessert, hot casserole, vegatable, salad..etc. Anything you would serve your family on Sundays. Please avoid fish.

You can also bring clothing: t shirts, jeans, shorts, SOCKS, underwear (PLEASE MARK THE SIZES WITH A MARKER ON LABEL OR TAPE)

Supplies: sunscreen (pour into little bottles for distribution), bug repellant lotion, athletes foot powders and sprays, deoderant, lotion, razors.. (think camping)

We also need : stiro foam plates, cups, fork and spoons, small bowls, foil, baggies, garbage bags, large cans of dry drink mix, ice...etc. Call for more ideas.

Families are welcome. children must be accompanied by an adult.

Groups are welcome, however.. we need to set a date in advance so we can insure you have the opportunity to serve. GROUPS MUST BE WILLING TO COOK THE MAJORITY OF THE FOOD NEEDED in order to accommodate you. We must feel secure the food will come because our regular volunteers will opt out those days so please be sure you organize thru

We ask that anyone who is volunteering WEAR NEON TSHIRTS of any bright color..to help us ditinguish whos is homeless and who is a new volunteer. Also please wear some sort of name tag on the days you come out.

We feed out of a food trailer on 8' tables.. so dress cool, wear sunscreen or hat in the summer

We also have a clothing, hygiene/drink trailer. Things we need for that are always.. things you would need camping...

tshirts, socks, underwear, bug spray, sunscreen etc..

First aid and hygiene supplies are distributed as well.
