As a technical support volunteer for our non-profit organization focused on incarcerated people of color, recidivism, and aftercare services to reduce reentry, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and effective communication within our virtual workspace. This volunteer position will be conducted virtually, allowing you to contribute from anywhere in the Eastern time zone. Here is a job description for the technical support volunteer role:
Responsibilities:
- Support the onboarding process for new team members, providing technical assistance and guidance to ensure a seamless integration into our virtual workspace.
- Answer emails and address technical issues relating to our Google and GoDaddy accounts, troubleshooting problems and providing solutions to ensure smooth functionality.
- Monitor and address technical issues on a weekly basis to ensure that everyone is able to communicate effectively with each other via our Google Workspace platform.
- Collaborate with the IT team to troubleshoot and resolve any technical challenges or system errors.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to team members regarding the use of various software and applications utilized by the organization.
- Document technical issues and resolutions, maintaining accurate records for future reference.
Requirements:
- Strong technical skills and familiarity with Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) applications, including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Meet.
- Experience with GoDaddy account management and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively address technical inquiries and provide instructions to team members.
- Availability in the Eastern time zone to ensure prompt assistance during working hours.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Description
TTMES stands for "Take Trips Mentally, Emotionally, Spiritually."
As the recidivism rate among youth continues to rise, we must ask ourselves, "how do we deal with negative starts that don't steer us to positive travels?"
When youth of color are released from incarceration or detention centers, they often lack adequate support systems, care, and guidance. TTMES is here to remove the many barriers that prevent positive outcomes. We aim to empower youth of color and provide the tools necessary to heal from the damage of the incarceration system. We are committed to healing the hurt and providing the foundation that they need to succeed.
