Brighton Hill Scout Group are looking for a volunteer to manage our existing team of volunteers!

Brighton Hill Scouts is a well established group who have a Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer sections and approximately 40 + volunteers.

This role will involve keeping in touch with the volunteers, reviewing their roles and training needs. In addition to helping recruit new volunteers to the group.

As part of a volunteering team you will:

  • Have fun and feel rewarded
  • Learn new skills
  • Make new friends
  • Add to your CV and have the opportunity to gain qualifications
  • Make a difference and give something back to your community

This role would suit someone who has experience as a Line Manager or has worked in HR or Recruitment but this is not necessary.

You will be a good communicator, organised and someone who is wanting to support the young people in the community but in a role that can be carried out in your own time rather than on a week to week basis.

You don’t need to have been in Scouts before, either - it’s fine if you’re completely new.

Young people and adult volunteers enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed, now and in the future. We’re talking about teamwork, leadership and resilience - skills that have helped Scouts become everything from teachers and social workers to astronauts and Olympians. We believe in bringing people together. We celebrate diversity and stand against intolerance, always.
