We are recruting for certified pet therapy dogs, and cats to bring smiles to our patients! The pet therapy volunteer can brighten the day of so many patients, and their family members. The volunteer pet therapy team is required to thave their animal certified. The volunteer coordinator can assist the volunteer in finding certification programs.

Hospice Compassus provides training on how to work with people at the end of life. The volunteer provides the talent, compassion, and time. The patient assignments are made according to the volunteer's time, and location. The patient may reside either in a residence or long-term care facility.

Description

Hospice care is a type of healthcare that aims to reduce suffering and promote comfort at the end of and promote comfort at the end of an individual's life. Pain and any other symptoms are managed around the clock, and the hospice team focuses greatly on spiritual and emotional health as well.

The foundation of hospice includes nursing care with an emphasis on managing symptoms, practical assistance, and emotional support. Caring for a loved one at home can be challenging. Our goal is to provide timely services to help your family make the most of your time together.
