IT Administrator Virtual Volunteer Position

As our IT Administrator, you’ll play an important role on our Technology Team by ensuring our email and other communication channels are monitored and kept updated.

Team: The Technology Team

Location:

• Virtual - this role is fully virtual.

Time Commitment 4-8 hours per week

Compensation: This is a Volunteer Position with no monetary compensation. After one year of service we issue a professional letter of recommendation from our Technology Director, as well as a LinkedIn recommendation(s) as applicable.

Reports to: Technology Director

Works with: This position manages their role and will also have the opportunity to build out a team to best suit the needs of the organization.

Position Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update our email systems

• Manage our Technology Portal

• Monitor, solve and delegate our Help Desk Requests

• Must be both leadership and task/contribution oriented

Skills and Qualifications best suited for this position:

• Ability to set goals and keep them

• Possess a strong sense of self, confident and focused

• Committed to clear direction, communication and follow-up

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Proficiency with Gmail and G-Suite applications

• Tech savvy-ness

• You must be able to troubleshoot technical issues, and help others troubleshoot technical issues.

• The following skills are not required but are a bonus:

• Python, Javascript, and/or CSS knowledge

• Familiarity with AWS services

• The following activities are required:

• Ability to operate a computer and/or mobile device.

• The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).

• The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.

• Must not have conflicting associations with similar non-profit organizations or business(es) related to animal welfare.
