We are seeking volunteers to join our Cultural Orientation team! You will teach refugee participants a basic American cultural orientation class to help them develop skills and understand how to navigate their environment, using an already-developed curriculum.

Commitment: Classes are on Thursdays from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., and your curriculum will be held once a month (based on need) onsite at JFS or at a local library. More details about your assigned session's curriculum will be provided upon inquiry.

Teaching experience in a classroom setting, experience working with people with varied educational levels and with different cultural backgrounds, and experience (or a shown comfort) working alongside interpreters is preferred. A brief interview with Resettlement staff, background check, and additional vetting is required.
