The Santa Cruz County Youth Resource Bank is an all-volunteer organization working with professionals in our community to meet the needs of at-risk youth in Santa Cruz County. We provide funding and items such as backpacks, sports equipment, school supplies, clothing, and so much more. We believe that small things can make a big difference in the life of a child.
Join our volunteer team as a bookkeeper - and make a tangible difference to children in need in our community! We are seeking a volunteer that can start in July!
Our current bookkeeper uses Quickbooks and Google Sheets to track payments and reconcile deposits from checks, cash, PayPal wire /ACH deposits.
The bookkeeper works with the Board of Directors and Fulfillment Committee to reconcile the Gift Card totals.
Other bookkeeper responsibilities include: posting monthly checks, reconciling monthly bank statements, reporting to the Finance Committee, monthly Profit & Loss reports, balance sheet, Reconciliation Report to address uncleared checks, submit documents to a CPA to file State and Federal Tax Returns, and other related tasks.
A volunteer can expect to serve about 3 hours per month on this project (after initial training).

Description
We are looking for a bookkeeper.
YRB current bookkeeping procedure - however, this may be changing:
1)We currently use Quickbooks
2)Post the Fulfillment transactions from the Google Spreadsheet
3)Reconcile the Gift Card totals with what the Fulfillment Committee recorded.
4)Post all monthly Deposit transactions: Checks and Cash Deposits, PayPal, and wire /ACH deposits.
5)Post all monthly checks, auto payments and Debit Card transactions.
6)Reconcile monthly bank statement.
7)Report to the Finance Committee
a.Monthly Profit & Loss with YTD (P&L)
b.Detail of monthly P&L report
c.Balance Sheet
d.Fulfillment Report
e.Reconciliation Report to address uncleared checks.
8)File State Federal Tax Returns / or have a CPA file them
