Special Olympics Florida is hosting the Coastal Regional Bowling Championships on Saturday, June 29th at St. Lucie Lanes. Volunteers are needed to assist with the following duties:

  • Serve as Lane Monitors on assigned lanes ensuring that athletes bowl in the correct order and relaying and delays in play (stuck balls, pins don't reset, etc.) to leadership team.
  • Prepare and present awards to athletes at the conclusion of competition.
  • Distribute lunch to volunteers and participats.

No knowledge of the sports is required and all training is provided on-site. Volunteers recieve a Special Olympics Florida T-Shirt and Lunch during their shift. A record of Community Service hours can also be provided upon request.

Description

Special Olympics Florida provides sports training and Olympic-style competition to more than 60,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities throughout the state. Special Olympics Florida is a Level I Accredited Program (highest level of accreditation granted by SOI) and is divided into 11 area programs, which cover over 55 counties.
