El Centro de la Raza’s 2024 Building the Beloved Community Gala is happening on Saturday September 28 at the Seattle Convention Center's Summit Building (900 Pine St, Seattle, WA 98101)! We look forward to an exciting and celebratory evening that will highlight the ways in which we are continuing to serve our community. Learn more about the event at: http://belovedcommunitygala.org

This is always a beautiful and memorable event, and we rely on volunteers to help make it amazing!

Volunteer positions include:
*Set-up

*Greeter/Program Assistant - helps to greet guests for the first part of the night, then goes on to assist with the live program of the evening, which will include a dinner, a live auction, award presentations, a "Raise the Paddle" donation drive, and more. As Program Assistants, will be asked to serve as 'bid spotters' during the auction, possibly present auction items to guests, record the information of item winners, send bidder information to the checkout table, and other duties as needed.

*Registration/Checkout - helps at the event registration table for the first part of the night, then goes on to help with auction item check-out.

*Silent Auction Attendants/Item Pickup - helps to monitor the silent auction during the first part of the evening, then goes on to assist with auction item pick-up.

*Raffle Ticket Seller/Program Assistant - helps to sell raffle tickets for the first part of the night, then goes on to assist with the live program of the evening, which will include a dinner, a live auction, award presentations, a "Raise the Paddle" donation drive, and more. As Program Assistants, will be asked to serve as 'bid spotters' during the auction, possibly present auction items to guests, record the information of item winners, send bidder information to the checkout table, and other duties as needed.

*Voter Registration Table - will support our 'Get Out The Vote' efforts by attending a voter registration booth at the entrance of the dining area, in preparation for the General Elections on November 7!

*Social Media Assistant - circulate the event noting major itinerary events and using a mobile device to post updates about them to our various social media platforms

*Photographer - roam the event taking photos of the action, with general guidance from our Communications Manager. Camera or high quality mobile device required.

With the exception of Set-up, all event volunteer positions include clean-up from approximately 9:00-10:30pm. Volunteer positions are subject to change.
