The Salvation Army Tucson needs volunteer receptionists to support The Hospitality House!
TRAINING IS PROVIDED!
Qualifications: A positive attitude and the ability to maintain composure in stressful situations. General knowledge of office etiquette and procedures is helpful. Bilingual preferred but not necessary!
Responsibilities: Volunteers will be responsible for answering video intercom calls, and incoming phone call from all departments, (including taking messages when necessary and directing guests as needed). Volunteers will also accept donations from the public and deliver packages to the appropriate staff member.
Time Commitment: Volunteers are asked to commit to volunteering at least one, 4-hour shift per week, for continuity and ease in scheduling. The reception desk is open from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday.

Description
The Salvation Army provides services to the Tucson community by way of temporary shelter, transitional housing, case management, job training, and GED Training. We hand out food boxes, water and clothing to those in need.
We also have youth programs such as day and summer camps and after school programs similar to Boy and Girl Scouts.
During the holidays, we provide meals for community members on Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. We also host the Christmas Angel Giving Tree and Adopt-a-Family program for those in need at Christmas.
