Mission Statement

Mission Statement The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the Universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in his name without discrimination.

Description

The Salvation Army provides services to the Tucson community by way of temporary shelter, transitional housing, case management, job training, and GED Training. We hand out food boxes, water and clothing to those in need.

We also have youth programs such as day and summer camps and after school programs similar to Boy and Girl Scouts.

During the holidays, we provide meals for community members on Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. We also host the Christmas Angel Giving Tree and Adopt-a-Family program for those in need at Christmas.
