Invasive Plant Survey

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: National Park Service

This week we'll be scouting for wavyleaf basketgrass (Oplismenus undulatifolius ) ! Wavyleaf basketgrass has been spreading rapidly throughout the National Capital Region and Rock Creek Park. This year it emerged much earlier than expected. It becomes more concerning with each year as it continues to spread. In doing these surveys, the Invasive Plant Management Team can determine how to respond to any potential infestations.
