As part of Not Defined By FND's mission to raise awareness, we are in the process of creating a series of short videos. Each video will focus on a specific topic related to FND (functional neurological disorder) and will feature 5 individuals. The end result will be a dynamic and engaging commercial-style video, with the 5 participants serving as the commentators.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Individuals who live with FND.
• Family members, friends, or caregivers who support someone with FND.

What Participants Can Expect

We will provide you with an outline of the entire video so that you can have a clear understanding of its content. This will give you, the participants in the video, the opportunity to provide us with suggestions, ideas, and feedback. Please be add our email address ( notdefinedbyfnd@gmail.com) to your contacts to prevent the emails from going to spam!

Additionally, you will receive a numbered list of the lines assigned to you (don't worry, it's not much!). All you need to do is record yourself saying them and send the recordings our way! You can send them whatever way is easiest for you - it does NOT have to be through email. Please be sure to send them by the deadline (we will remind you of the date in the email with the video information)!

Recording Options

You have the choice to select either video or audio recordings, whichever you are comfortable with. Whichever option you choose, it is important to ensure that there is no background noise present during the recordings.

If you decide on video recordings, please make sure that there is nothing inappropriate visible in the video, including the background.

If you opt for audio recordings, we will provide images to accompany and enhance your message. No need to worry!

You have the flexibility to send separate recordings or combine them into one. However, if you choose to send all your lines in a single recording, we kindly ask that you pause between each line to facilitate the editing process.

Name Options

You also have the freedom to decide whether you want your name to appear in the video. You can even choose to have a nickname to be displayed (as long as it is appropriate). If you prefer to remain anonymous, that is perfectly fine as well! In that case, we will use the words "an FND warrior" or "an FND warrior supporter" in place of your name.

Please note that these videos WILL be shared with news stations and various media platforms. If you choose to participate, make sure you are comfortable with your recording, whether video or audio, being made public, along with the name option you provide.
