ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross - National Headquarters

This position supports the International Services department. It is a work-from-home remote role. Volunteer needed to assist ISD Agreement Administration team with assorted administrative duties. Position is task-based on an as-needed basis, with an average of 6-8 hours total per week and an ability to complete tasks within 3 business days of request. Volunteer will assist with OFAC Compliance Checks, Due Diligence Research, and Closeout Review. Additional projects and tasks may follow.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all organizational policies and practices in adherence to regulatory requirements as needed.
  • Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is shared with the Agreement Administration team.
  • Support three specific administrative functions of the Grants Administration department:
    • OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) compliance checks,
    • Due Diligence Reviews, and
    • project closeout assistance
  • OFAC Compliance will require searching individual and organization names in FinScan database software. In the case that a match or near-match is found, must flag for Agreement Administration team and perform further research to confirm that the entity is cleared.
  • Due Diligence Review will require researching the organizational background of potential AmRC partners.
  • Project closeout assistance will entail confirming that required reports have been uploaded to the Salesforce-based project management platform.

Qualifications:
Required:

  • Reliable access to resources needed to volunteer 100% virtually
  • Experience creating Word documents using Microsoft Office
  • Cultural sensitivity to diverse audiences
  • Relevant, complementary technical skills/operational experience
  • Experience conducting due diligence research
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with grants, contracts, and agreement administration Ability to complete requests within 3 business days
  • Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies
