Volunteer Role Summary

We are looking for reliable and detail-oriented volunteers to help the Volunteer Services Department with data entry. As a Data Entry volunteer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our data management efforts. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately enter data.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all data is entered accurately.
  • Review all information entered and make corrections where necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all data entered.
  • Input collected data into our volunteer database.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Familiar with basic computer skills
  • Ability to work well independently
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate data entry
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word)
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Previous data entry experience is a plus, but not required

Parking: Free parking is available on the National Park Services parking lot, which is across the street from The King Center. The entrance is on John Wesley Dobbs Drive. The address is 413 John Wesley Dobbs, Atlanta GA 30312.

Established in 1968 by Mrs. Coretta Scott King, The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change ("The King Center") has been a global destination, resource center and community institution for over a quarter century.The King Center is a 501(c)3. Nearly a million people each year make pilgrimage to the National Historic Site to learn, be inspired and pay their respects to Dr. King’s legacy.

The King Center is repositioning to meet the challenges and opportunities of today. Squarely-focused on serving as both a local and global resource, the King Center is dedicated to educating the world on the life, legacy and teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., inspiring new generations to carry forward his unfinished work, strengthen causes and empower change-makers who are continuing his efforts today.
