Do you love walking and want to be a champion for healthy living? Join Lyngblomsten as a Walk with Ease volunteer!

Walk with Ease is a program from the Arthritis Foundation designed to help participants safely incorporate walking into their daily routines. It's designed for people who can stand for at least 10 minutes and are looking to improve their balance, strength, and stamina.

As a Walk with Ease volunteer, you'll:

  • Walk along with the group
  • Ensure participants feel comfortable and supported
  • Be there for those who need a short break or assistance with walking aids

Commitment:

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 9th through August 15th
  • Time: 9:30 am - 10:30 am

Description

Lyngblomsten provides compassionate care to older adults through residential and community services. Volunteers of all ages are welcomed to explore over 100 unique and varied opportunities. While short-term options may be available periodically, we encourage longer-term commitments given the exceptional level of orientation, training and on-going education Lyngblomsten provides in support of its volunteers.
