Join your neighbors, creating food & beauty. Help the Cascade P-Patch Giving Garden in the heart of Seattle. We are climate warriors. You will be growing fresh, nutritious, local, organic food for your neighbors. We are growing food for the food banks.
- We grow food and an oasis for Seattle.
- We remove CO2 from the air and lock it away in the soil.
- We build back fertile soil.
- We create a habitat for pollinators and birds.
- We filter water so our streams can support salmon.
- We lower the temperature in a concrete jungle.
- We teach people how our food is grown.

About Cascade Patch Community Garden
Location:
Thomas & Minor, Seattle, WA 98109, US
Mission Statement
We are one of 88 Community Gardens run by the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods. We have created an urban oasis in the middle of South Lake Union for individuals to produce healthy food, interact, build community and provide recreational opportunities.
Description
Each gardener leases a small plot from the city for their own use and puts in extra time to maintain the entire garden and community areas. If you are interested in your own plot search for Seattle P-Patch on the Internet.
We need additional volunteers to help maintain the food we raise for the food banks, and for the common areas. It's a quiet place to have lunch, or where some friends meet for tai chi, and an escape from concrete boxes nearby. Your help is needed to keep up this public garden, demonstrate good land use, prevent run-off, and provide habitat for native bees and songbirds.
Check out our monthly work parties as listed on the shed, or let us coordinate a day for your group.
