Photographers & Videographers Needed for New York Asian Film Festival 2024

Join a creative team of Asian cinema fans dedicated to the exhibition and appreciation of Asian film culture in all its forms! For the 23rd New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF), we are looking for photographers & videographers to document the festival.

Are you highly organized, passionate, and calm under pressure? Do you love film? Do you love being part of a team? Do you have a commitment to courtesy, dependability, and to telling stories with your images? Are you willing to do whatever it takes to get the shot? Then reach out and maybe we can work together!

As a volunteer for NYAFF, you will be given the opportunity to shoot a selection of festival events such as red carpets, step-and-repeats, film introductions, q&a’s, award ceremonies, and special programming such as the night market.

These positions run from July 12 - July 28, 2024 and will be on-site at Film at Lincoln Center & the SVA Theatre.

* Documenting festival’s red carpet and q&a events

* Capturing photos of incoming talent

* Editing and uploading photos for publication

* Shifts will be approximately six hours for a minimum of 3 days

* Portfolio of past professional work

* Working knowledge of Lightroom or equivalent photo editing software

* Experience with event photography / videography

* Video-editing skills are a plus

* Gain experience, improve your skill set, and build your resume

* Make new friends!

* Build a network in the (Asian) film industry

* Access to all festival films and events at NYAFF 2024 (outside of shifts)

* Credit will be provided on festival social media posts and work can only be used on other public outlets with permission by the New York Asian Film Foundation
