Weed Warrior Training - Maryland

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: National Park Service

Join the National Park Service, Rock Creek Conservancy, and the National Capital Region PRISM for a virtual and in-person Weed Warrior training to learn more about invasive plant identification and removal! The training is June 12th (online portion from 6-9PM) and June 15th (field portion at Piscataway Park from 10am-1pm).

Weed Warriors are volunteers who assist park staff with surveys and removal of invasive vegetation to control and contain the spread of invasive, non-native plant species. Often, they adopt a special area to focus their efforts and may operate independently under direction of the park manager.
