We need event breakdown support for our Homebuyer Education Resource Event (HE.R.E.)!

Why: The event will highlight Habitat's campaign on Advancing Black Homeownership and promote the State funded CalHome Program.

Who: Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles seeks to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope, envisioning a world where every person has a decent place to live.

What to Expect:

Assist our Special Events & Programs team with breaking down the event at our base camp.

Collection of trash in support of our zero-waste event.

Break down boxes.

Assist vendors with breaking down and carrying items to their vehicles.

Boxing and loading leftover supplies to be delivered back to headquarters.

What's Required:

Attire: Jeans & tennis or closed-toe shoes are required. Modest shorts are allowed. Please do not wear any spandex shorts or daisy dukes.

Be willing to follow directions, work well with others, understand English, or have someone along that does.

Ability to lift 15-20 lbs.

All volunteers must be at least 16 years of age.

Volunteers aged 16 - 17 require an adult chaperone to be present with them while volunteering. Also must have a parent or guardian sign the minor's release and waiver of liability form and bring it to the site on the workday.
