Provide event support for HE.R.E. (Homebuyer Education Resource Event)!

Why: Our Programs team needs event support at the Homebuyer Education Resource Event (H.E.R.E.) for the community in San Fernando. The event will highlight Habitat's campaign on Advancing Black Homeownership and promote the state-funded CalHome Program.

Who: Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles seeks to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope, envisioning a world where every person has a decent place to live.

What to Expect:

Assist our Special Events & Programs team with hospitality, organizing, and setting up event items at our base camp.

Welcome greeters to the event.

Check-in participants for the event.

Help participants fill out surveys.

Assist with handing out food & refreshments.

Break down boxes and collect trash.

What's Required:

Attire: Jeans & tennis or closed-toe shoes are required. Modest shorts are allowed. Please do not wear any spandex shorts or daisy dukes.

Must be willing to follow directions, work well with others, understand English, or have someone along that does.

Ability to lift 15-20 lbs.

All volunteers must be at least 16 years of age.

Volunteers aged 16 - 17 require an adult chaperone to be present with them while volunteering. Also must have a parent or guardian sign the minor's release and waiver of liability form and bring it to the site on the workday.
