Help plan events to raise funds to connect incarcerated people with their kids

Companions Journeying Together (CJT) is seeking new members living in the Chicagoland area to join our 2024-2025 Event Planning Committee to support CJT's non-profit mission of providing services to the incarcerated in the state of Illinois.

Committee responsibilities:

1. To bring ideas to the group on ways to celebrate and promote the mission and programs while raising monies for CJT
2. Be responsible for the overall planning and the actions/tasks to hold events. This would include everything from determining budget, venue, promotion, sponsors, etc.

Our past and current events: online Trivia events and a program/presentation and reception with a like-minded organization (i.e., university).

Time Commitment: One hour monthly Zoom meetings, and any time that you can afford to assist with planning and participating in CJT events (typically 4 to 6 times a year).
