Join our team as a volunteer translator and support us in bridging the language gap by translating crucial materials into Spanish!

Although this is a remote opportunity, we welcome and encourage you to come work onsite if you are able.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and culturally sensitive translation of flyers, forms, marketing materials, social media, and website content.
  • Uphold messaging consistency across all communication platforms.
  • Support with other language-related tasks as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish.
  • Strong written communication skills in both languages.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain tone and style coherence.
  • Cultural awareness and empathy towards the Latino community.
  • Previous translation experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Horizons, established in 1965, serves as a guiding light for system-involved youth of color at risk of educational disengagement. Current services encompass intensive case management, substance use treatment, mental wellness support, and leadership skills training.
