Volunteers sort clean plastic film and package to ship to Trex for turning into Trex furniture. Work one or two hours - or until you get tired. On the spot training - this is easy to learn work and you'll enjoy seeing the bags of plastic film that won't be going to the landfill or littering our area. Good for individuals or small groups. Work at your own pace, come anytime during sorting hours. Safe location inside the Thurston County Food Bank warehouse.

About OLYMPIA HOST LIONS CLUB

Location:

PO Box 416, OLYMPIA, WA 98507, US

Mission Statement

Making the world a kinder place for all.

Description

Olympia Host Lions are part of Lions International - volunteers working together to help our neighbors in the areas of vision, diabetes, hunger, the environment and more. We have been serving greater Olympia since 1935. Volunteer with us at our Low Vision Resource Center where we loan out equipment for folks with failing vision. Collect and sort plastic film to help keep it out of Puget Sound! Get your hands dirty at our Sensory Garden at the Port of Oympia. Flip a burger during Lakefair. Hand out water to marathon runners, give dictionaries to 3rd graders, screen the vision of school children, pre-schoolers or seniors, lend a hand at a food drive or to make sandwiches for hungry neighbors. Help us spread a little kindness - call today to learn more.
