This summer we are looking to take a different approach to helping kids succeed in school. Student’s attendance and learning style impacts there ability to do well in school and we want to focus on bridging their educational gaps by offering 45-50 minutes of instruction with 10-15 minute breaks before transitioning to next subject. Students in different grade levels will be bunched by ability and not grade level.

Lauren’s House mission is to provide holistic academic & emotional support to children, youth & their families primarily in East Palo Alto/East Menlo Park.

Description

Since 2009 we have been providing free after-school and summer programs to low-income and homeless children and youth (5-18 years), as well as services for their families.We focus on developing the entire person, with service learning opportunities, tutoring and mentoring, professional counseling, enrichment activities, healthy meals, and programs to strengthen the family.
