The Red Rock Ranger District in the Coconino National Forest is looking for volunteers to work in the district admin office. The position will be responsible for performing a wide range of business management activities for a busy district. Applicants will be asked to assist in the coordination of a variety of general office services including file management, accounting, assisting employees with government housing, and answering visitor inquires.
Volunteers would make a minimum of a three month commitment to live at the Beaver Creek Work Center, working four days a week, 6 hours a day. The Red Rock Ranger District has full RV hookups, with water, electricity and sewer provided at no cost for the volunteer. Volunteers may also use the on-site washer and dryer free of charge. This opportunity includes a daily reimbursement of $20 per day per person for days worked.
